Milonov’s apology was replaced by a lawsuit

LDPR lawyer Irina Voskoboynikova filed a lawsuit for the protection of honor and dignity after a conflict with State Duma deputy Vitaly Milonov.

This was announced by a lawyer from St. Petersburg Irina Bakhanovich in her Telegram channel.

The incident took place in mid-July 2023. According to Bakhanovich, Milonov came to the LDPR office in Gorlovka (DNR) and stated that Voskoboynikova was working for the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine). According to the lawyer, after this event, the party activist was hospitalized with a stroke. “Despite the fact that the scandal reached the level of the State Duma, Milonov never apologized. Therefore, Irina Voskoboynikova filed a lawsuit to protect honor and dignity, ”the publication says.

As Fontanka writes with reference to the original document, the plaintiff estimated her moral suffering at 1 million rubles. In a statement, Voskoboynikova stated that Milonov, by bringing charges against her, had exceeded the powers of a State Duma deputy and, by his actions, had caused moral and physical suffering to the woman. The lawsuit, according to the publication, was filed with the Kirovsky District Court of St. Petersburg.
