Information about Mironov’s detention has been confirmed.
55-year-old Eduard Mironov, head of the department of the Regional Center for Patriotic Education and Pre-coward Training of Youth, is accused of harasing a seventh-grader for two months. According to the law enforcement officers, this summer a man brought a 13-year-old girl to his home, where he committed depraved acts against her.
Previously, Mironov held the post of Deputy Mayor of ZATO Severomorsk on social sphere and youth policy. And before that, for 17 years he worked as the head of the department for youth, physical culture and sports in the city administration. The official heads the North Sea search team “Vaenga”, in 2017 stood at the origins of the local branch of “Yunarmia”. In recent years, he has been engaged in the development of search teams, conducted classes for children. Yesterday, a criminal case was opened against him for depraved actions against minors (Part 2 of Art. 135 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
According to our data, two days before, Mironov conducted theoretical classes in junior and senior search groups at a local school: he talked about the events of the Second World War in the Arctic, promised to teach children “leadership”. It was at this school that the injured girl studied.
