Russian and British tried to hide Vekselberg’s yacht from sanctions

The US Department of Justice opened a case against Russian Vladislav Osipov and Briton Richard Masters – they are accused of trying to hide the identity of the owner of the Tango yacht, owned by sanctioned billionaire Viktor Vekselberg.

Vekselberg has not yet been subject to EU restrictions, but he entered the US sanctions list back in 2018. It was not possible to prevent the freezing of the 78-meter Tango superyacht worth about $ 120 million – when the sanctions were expanded in connection with the war, not only she, but also the passenger Airbus A319-115 with tail number P4-MIS were among the arrested assets of Vekselberg. In April 2022, the yacht was arrested at the request of the United States in Mallorca.
